Western Publications Association (WPA) at the Maggie Awards, and by
the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) at the
The Webby Awards. Each year, these organizations honor the best
publications and Websites. The WPA presented CHOW with Best Web
Publication Website and Best Overall Web Design at the 2008 Maggie
Awards, and the IADAS presented CHOW with a Webby People's Voice Award
for Best Food Website.

This year a total of 88 awards were bestowed at the black-tie soiree
held in Los Angeles, attended by more than 500 industry giants. WPA
also nominated CHOW for "Best Regularly Featured Web Column" and "Best
Web Article."
This year, nearly 500,000 votes were cast by people around the
world for their favorite sites, videos and ads in the Webby People's
Voice Awards. Hailed as "the Internet's highest honor" by the New York
Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring
excellence on the Internet, with categories that include Websites,
interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile Websites.
CHOW has also recently received a number of award nominations from
organizations serving the publishing and culinary worlds. The American
Society of Magazine Editors recognized CHOW with a nomination in the
