(Nasdaq:CNET) today announced that Larry Dignan has been appointed
Editor-in-Chief of ZDNet, as well as Editorial Director overseeing
TechRepublic and ZDNet. Dignan replaces Dan Farber, vice president of
editorial at ZDNet, who was appointed Editor-in-Chief of CNET News.com
(see separate announcement today).

As editor-in-chief of ZDNet, Dignan will lead the editorial team
in their coverage of the stories and events that impact today's
business professionals, as well as oversee the ZDNet blog network,
which features some of the most authoritative and well-respected
voices in the IT community. As editorial director overseeing
TechRepublic and ZDNet, Dignan will ensure that both sites remain
essential must-reads for their distinct and complimentary audiences.
Larry will also continue daily blogging for "Between the Lines," an
in-depth, analytical discussion about what's happening in the world of
business technology.

publications including Baseline, a 1995 National Magazine Aware
finalist and Grand Neal Award winner, where he edited the Baseline 500
issue and covered numerous topics at the intersection of technology
and business including the technology rebuilding after Hurricane
Katrina and various investigative reports about technology management
